According to Jaywon, the street-hop singer Portable is twice as popular in Nigeria as the Afropop musician CKay.

During a discussion on the Jahbless Original Intelligence podcast on the development and success of CKay, he made the comparison.

Jahbless announced that Ckay is the Nigerian musician with the most YouTube subscribers, surpassing industry heavyweights such as Wizkid and Burna Boy.

He also stated that the Love Nwantiti hitmaker is not well-known in the nation, and Jaywon concurred, stating that Portable is two times bigger than him.

They continued to inquire as to why Ckay, while not being the largest artist, has substantial streaming numbers and fandom, and Jaywon responded that it is because Afrobeats is now an international genre that is not just popular in Nigeria.

Jaywon, in a bid to buttress his point said his biggest song on Spotify is being streamed the most by fans in Auckland and Australia.

He reiterated that Ckay is very popular outside the country because the Afrobeats as a genre is off Nigeria and now a globally accepted form of music.
