Iyanya would eventually make a major comeback in the music industry, I’m not sure if anyone is truly following Iyanya.
He hasn’t really accomplished anything notable since his Mavin tenure that year. Back in the day, the once-promising musician scored singles including “Kukere,” “Ur Waist,” and “Sexy Mama.” He caused a lot of buzz.
But that is the reality, Soldiers arrive and depart, and Iyanya entered and exited. He’s not really part of any group right now.
He is no longer an A-list artist and is no longer a young, promising artist. Iyanya is only one of those artists who exist in a liminal space. He doesn’t consistently drop hits as Timaya does, for example. He is thus simply there.
But this brand-new tune is noteworthy. It really has to be. When Kizz Daniel and Davido collaborate on a song, greatness is guaranteed.
“Like” appears to be a Kizz Daniel song on the surface. It has a more “Kizz Daniel ft. Iyanya & Davido” vibe to it. It’s all Kizz, from the instrumental to the song’s composition and arrangement.
The singer is one of the most popular performers in the nation right now and is currently basking in the success of his smash tune, “Buga.” His EP from last year, “Barnabas,” is still performing well, and right now he is in the top three nationwide.
Davido, on the other hand, hasn’t been particularly active lately. He’s done a few songs and a ton of features, so yes, he’s still one of the most important figures in the business today.
These two have more to offer as a team than any other pair at the moment. So much so that a combined EP is apparently on the way.
It is miraculous how they connect on “Like.” Kizz Daniel contributed a lyric, albeit a brief one, and Davido did the hook.
Iyanya performed as required but didn’t have to do much because Kizz Daniel and Davido were already on the track.
Furthermore, because the song wasn’t even that lengthy, nobody needed to do much. It might not be long, but it is unquestionably good.
Because it is so fantastic, “Like” has a chance to surpass other Kizz Daniel successes like “Lie” and “Oshe” in terms of popularity. Despite the fact that Iyanya still needs to prove himself more to convince the fans that he’s back on the radar, this song is incredible!
