Iyanya responds to accusations of sleeping with woman before gifting her iPhone.
Nigerian music sensation Iyanya has vehemently denied allegations made by an online user, @ANTIAPE1, claiming that he admitted to engaging in intimate relations with a woman named Florence, whom he allegedly met at Davido’s Timeless concert, before gifting her an iPhone.
The accusation surfaced on social media, causing Iyanya to swiftly respond, expressing disbelief and questioning the credibility of such a statement.
In a statement issued on Sunday, March 24, 2024, Iyanya emphasized his shock at the idea of one woman attempting to harm another.
He challenged the online accuser to provide any evidence, particularly a video, supporting the alleged admission.
Iyanya’s response reflected his frustration with the unfounded accusations, as he vehemently denied any wrongdoing or statements suggesting such actions.
He wrote, “Are you mad or something? Where did I say such a thing? How can a woman be trying to be evil towards another woman? Post a video where I said that fool.”

Iyanya has unveiled the intriguing backstory behind the title of his latest album, ‘Once Upon A Cat,’ revealing that it was inspired by a comment from a social media troll. During an interview on Naija FM, Iyanya discussed his album and his decision to collaborate with emerging artists.
The album title stemmed from a remark made by a social media user during a discussion sparked by Davido’s classification of Burna Boy as a “new cat” in the Afrobeats scene.
In the midst of the ensuing debate over who qualified as a “new cat” versus an “old one,” one user humorously replied to a question about Iyanya’s classification by saying, “that one is once upon a cat” in pidgin.
Iyanya shared that he and his team were brainstorming album titles when they came across this comment, and it instantly resonated with them, ultimately becoming the chosen title for the album.
