    Prominent American rapper, Calvin Cordozar Broadus, professionally known as Snoop Dogg, has taken to social media to lament not getting any Grammy awards after being nominated 20 times.

    This comes just a few days after the Recording Academy’s 65th Grammy Awards Ceremony.

    In a post via Instagram, Snoop Dogg shared a screenshot of his colleagues in the rap industry who have been nominated several times for Grammy awards and won their categories.

    The list of rappers includes Jay Z and Kanye West with 24 wins respectively, Kendrick Lamar with 17, Eminem with 15, and Pharell with 13 Grammy win.

    Snoop Dogg, however, said that despite having garnered 20 nominations overall, he has never really won an award.

    He wrote: “Snoop dogg. 20 nominations. 0 wins.”

    In other news, During a historic evening in Los Angeles, Beyonce became the most-awarded artist in Grammy history.

    Beyonce, who now has 32 trophies overall, became the most-awarded artist on Sunday night, the 5th of February, after taking home four awards.

    The performer, who arrived late to the ceremony due to traffic, took home awards for best traditional R&B performance, best dance/electronic album, best dance/electronic recording, and best R&B song.

    She is the musician with the most awards in history thanks to her 32 Grammy wins.

    “I’m trying not to be too emotional,” the 41-year-old said on  after winning the record-breaking prize for dance/electronic album. “I’m trying to just receive this night.” She also paid tribute to both her “beautiful husband” and the “queer community for their love and for inventing the genre”.
