‘I’ve always thought OBO hated me’ – Omah Lay says as Davido acknowledges his music publicly for the first time
Omah Lay, a well-known singer from Nigeria, reacted on social media to Davido, his senior colleague’s, appreciation of his music.
On March 12, 2024, Omah Lay revealed on his verified page on the well-known microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, that he had always assumed OBO detested his music.
Omah Lay’s response came after Davido, while hanging out with well-known American internet streamer Kai Cenat, openly acknowledged his music for the first time.
In the video, Davido tells Kai Cenat to listen to Omah Lay’s song “Reason” while he is driving.
Kai Cenat was seen effortlessly grooving to the song and confessing that he is afraid of Omah Lay, which makes him want to impress his girlfriend even more than he did the previous time.
Upon sighting the video, Omah Lay wrote; “I’ve always thought OBO hated me!.”
Be mindful that although Omah Lay has been spotted with Olamide, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, he has not yet had a face-to-face meeting with Davido.
