The Big Brother Naija season 5 reunion has been loaded with drama and exciting episodes, the latest episode saw winner, Laycon speaking out about his dispute with former housemate Erica.
On Monday, June 28th, 2021, the latest episode of the BBNaija reunion show aired. Laycon has stated that he believes what transpired in the house between himself and Erica could have been avoided.
He stated that he would have liked that the incident with Erica never happened. He added that he would like for people to talk about his musical achievements rather than what transpired on stage.
In his words;
“For me, I feel like what happened could have been mended, should be mended, could have been mended. For me, I’d rather have everybody that supports me talking about my success than what happened where I went to promote my music. That’s the most important thing to me now. That’s why I haven’t had time to think about it.”

Erica, for one, believes that reconciling with Laycon will not result in anything great. She stated that she feels he will simply make everyone pity him and appear to be a saint once more;
“He’s going to make everyone pity him and make everyone think he’s a saint…. If he really wanted to talk to me, he’d have. We’re in the same group chat. Own it. You don’t like me and I don’t like you. Don’t go out and form saint.
If Laycon had sent a message and it made sense, I’d have replied…. I apologized to everyone when I was disqualified and said I was sorry for any issue. I came out and saw videos and said I was so stupid for saying he had my back in the house and apologizing for things I said about/to him.”

It’s no secret that Erica and Laycon, who were formerly close friends, had a falling out during their time in the house.
