Isreal DMW Faces Trouble as Davido Unfollows Him After Apology to Muslim Community
Isreal DMW, the logistics manager of Davido, is in trouble once again as Davido unfollowed him on Instagram after he publicly apologized to the Muslim community.
The apology came after heavy backlash from the Muslim community over the controversial music video for Davido’s signee, Logos Olori’s song “Jaye Lo.”
The music video depicted Logos Olori on a building singing and making prayer gestures while other Muslims were below, engaging in their religious activities. This portrayal was seen as disrespectful to Islam.
Although Davido removed the music video in response to the pressure, another clip surfaced showing people in Maiduguri burning a banner with Davido’s photo, demanding a public apology.
Isreal DMW, on behalf of Davido, issued a special apology to the Muslim community, acknowledging that they mishandled the promotion of Logos Olori’s music video and recognizing the mistake.
He wrote; “Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
As per the information provided, it appears that Davido was not satisfied with Isreal DMW’s apology to the Muslim community. Davido reportedly ordered Isreal DMW to remove the apology post from his Instagram stories and unfollowed him again, indicating that there might be a strained relationship between them currently.
