Isreal DMW, the prominent Nigerian singer Davido’s logistics manager, apologized to the Muslim community on social media for the controversial video.
It is common knowledge that musician Davido has received a great deal of criticism for endorsing a music video for the song “Jaye Lo” by his signee, Logos Olori.
The music video depicted Logos Olori on a building singing and making prayer gestures while other Muslims were below religiously carrying out their Solah and dancing.
Muslims did not like the video, and as a result, they began to unfollow Davido on Twitter. His songs were even forbidden from being played in public in the northern region of Nigeria.
Davido bows to pressure following criticisms that trailed the video of his new signee Logos Olori and he deletes the music video from his social media pages.
Following the most recent development by Davido, Muslims in Maiduguri gathered and began burning a banner featuring the singer’s image, calling for him to issue a public apology.
Isreal DMW responded to this by pleading with the Muslim community via his official Instagram page, stating that his boss Davido’s song video was an entertainment endeavour that was misrepresented.
Isreal DMW claimed in the special apologies post that Davido was merely attempting to do what he does best, which is to uplift others.
Declaring his love for the Muslim community, Isreal DMW wrote;
“Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
