Ipswich are looking to sign Omari Hutchinson in a £22m permanent deal from Chelsea after a successful loan spell this season
Ipswich Town have opened talks to sign Chelsea winger Omari Hutchinson on a permanent deal.
Ipswich are trying to close a £22million deal to sign Chelsea forward Omari Hutchinson.
The 20-year-old, who is free to leave Stamford Bridge, is keen to return to Portman Road. Hutchinson had a successful loan spell at Ipswich, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 44 appearances. During his time there, he built a good relationship with manager Kieran McKenna and helped achieve promotion from the Championship.
A former Arsenal academy player, Hutchinson has made two appearances for Chelsea. He is considered one of Ipswich’s main targets following their promotion to the Premier League.
Chelsea exercised an option in Hutchinson’s deal to extend his contract until 2026 in May, increasing their leverage in securing a good fee for the player.
