Inter Milan make new and improved bid to Chelsea for Lukaku
Inter Milan has made a second offer to Chelsea for striker Romelu Lukaku in an attempt to retain him at San Siro.
Inter’s initial offer, which reportedly involved another loan with an obligation to buy in 2024, was rejected by Chelsea. However, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter is set to make a renewed effort.
The second offer is rumored to be €30 million (£25m/$33m) plus bonuses and would be a permanent transfer without any additional loan agreements.
Lukaku is reportedly willing to reduce his wages to facilitate the deal, considering Inter’s financial challenges.
The Belgian forward is eager for Inter and Chelsea to reach an agreement promptly to determine his future, as he has expressed his desire to continue playing in Serie A.
