Nobody even comes close to Don Jazzy as the best “Young Talents” Detector in Nigerian music, however, the closest is Olamide.

Let’s quickly talk about Don Jazzy Biography

Popularly known as Don Jazzy or Don Baba J, Michael Collins Ajereh is a Nigerian record producer, musician, songwriter, businessman, and philanthropist.

In 2004, he co-founded the now-defunct record company Mo’ Hits Records. On May 8, 2012, Don Jazzy founded Mavin Records as a result of the record mentioned above label’s demise.

How much more do we know about this music producer?

Don Jazzy became interested in music at a young age. In fact, it has been said that he began playing the bass guitar at 12 and the drums before the age of 4.

Additionally, he learned about folk and percussion instruments. When Jazzy’s uncle persuaded him to play the drums for the neighbourhood church in 2000, Jazzy travelled to London.

Don Jazzy found work as a security guard at McDonald’s when he was in London. He kept fostering his musical interest by hanging out with D’Banj, Solek, JJC, Kas, and The 419 Squad.

His art of picking young talents

In the Nigerian music industry, Don Jazzy has done the most to identify and explore fresh artists.
All of the Mavin Records artists, with the exception of rapper LADIPOE, are younger than 25.

Bayanni has been added as the newest artist to Mavin Records’ stable of incredible and brilliant performers.

On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the top record label announced the new artist on its social media channels and those of its music executive Don Jazzy.

A graduate of the Mavin Academy is Bayanni. The A&R team at Mavin discovered him, signed him, and put him through their artist development program so he could improve his abilities.

His debut EP, “Bayanni,” introduces his songwriting and melodies, which he intends to use to thrill audiences and distinguish himself as a distinctive artist in the Nigerian music market.
