Nigerian singer Victony has revealed that he is still trying to figure out what it means to be in love with someone.
He also confessed that he has not kissed anyone since December 2023.
The 23-year-old appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the “Is This Seat Taken” podcast, hosted by Chinasa Anukam.
During the podcast, he discussed his music, fond childhood memories, and his journey to understanding love.
When Chinasa asked, “Have you ever been in love? What is love to you?” Victony responded by revealing that he is still grappling with the concept of love and does not fully understand it yet.

“I’m a young man; I’m figuring it out. I’m still trying to know what it means; I’ll put it that way. What does love mean? What does it mean to be in love? I’m still asking myself those questions. So when I’m with a girl, I ask myself, ‘Am I in love or not?'” he said.
When asked, “When was the last time you kissed someone?” the singer burst into laughter before replying, “You’re intruding into my privacy. I have not kissed anyone this year, so maybe last year in December.”
Chinasa then questioned, “As a Nigerian man who lives in Lagos and predominantly makes love songs, how often are you lying in your music?”
Victony answered, “With the love songs? Not too often; I don’t even lie because every time I make a love song, that’s how I feel in that moment toward someone. I may feel different the next day because I don’t know if it’s love or not.”
