White Money reveals he’s no longer interested in winning Grammy
Reality TV star and singer White Money, known for his stint on BBNaija Season 6, has made a significant statement regarding his aspirations for the Grammy Awards.
Previously vocal about his desire to win a Grammy, White Money has now expressed a change of heart. In a recent interview with content creator Egungun, he stated that he has lost interest in the Grammys, believing that the prestigious American award has been compromised and has lost its value.
Instead, Whitemoney has shifted his focus towards the local Headies Awards.
He said, “The way things are going now, Grammy don cast. Make we manage Headies. I’m not sure if I’m still pursuing my desire of winning Grammys. Now I’m pursuing any award that keeps me relevant. Because after what Grammy organisers did to our superstars, Davido and Burna Boy at the last award ceremony, it’s now looking like they are using Nigeria for publicity stunt.
“But never say never. My style of music is unique. If it takes me to the Grammys, no wahala.”

This change in perspective signifies his commitment to achieving recognition within the Nigerian music industry, prioritizing local accolades over international ones.
In other news, White Money shared insights into his music career during an interview with BBC Igbo. He revealed that his major source of income from music comes from live shows rather than streaming platforms.
White Money mentioned that, at present, music has not been a significant revenue stream for him, but he emphasized that his primary focus is on conveying a strong message through his music.
Despite not considering himself to have a strong vocal ability, he mentioned that he sings for himself and not to please critics or others.
