Burna Boy Fires Back at Leaked Voice Note from Lagos Socialite Sophia Egbueje
Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy has responded to a viral leaked voice note allegedly involving Lagos socialite Sophia Egbueje in the most nonchalant way possible.
The 28-year-old socialite and Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy (real name: Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu) has been at the center of online discussions after an audio recording surfaced on February 27, 2025.
In the leaked voice note, Sophia Egbueje, a 20-year-old model and content creator, expressed frustration over an alleged promise that never materialized.
She claimed that Reginald—alongside her boyfriend, King Manny, Ama, and Bayrock Club’s owner—convinced her to engage in a romantic encounter with Burna Boy in 2024.
In return, she was allegedly promised a Tesla Cybertruck, a futuristic luxury vehicle. However, according to Sophia, after everything went down, Burna Boy ghosted her—no text, no follow-up, nothing.
The situation escalated further when Sophia accused Ama of betrayal, stating that while she was left waiting for the promised Tesla, Ama was instead seen partying with Burna Boy and his rumored new flame, American singer Chloe Bailey.
Despite the controversy, Burna Boy appeared unbothered by the drama. Instead of directly addressing the claims, he took to his Instagram Story, sharing a video of himself relaxing inside his Lamborghini, seemingly living his best life.
With Burna Boy choosing to respond through vibes rather than words, fans are left wondering if he will ever publicly address Sophia’s claims or let the controversy fade away on its own.
