“My wife gave me the reason to keep fighting” — ID Cabasa shares marriage experience.
Nigerian musician and ace producer Olumide Ogunade, professionally known as ID Cabasa has praised his wife for helping him understand the potential in their marriage.
In the podcast #WithChude, the artist discussed his marriage, including the difficulties it brought about and the inspirations that kept him going.
The producer claimed that before joining the league, he did not believe that marriage would be all roses.
When questioned about his marital situation, he admitted that there were moments when he would wake up and want to end it.
He claimed that the reason he and his wife are still together now is due to her.
The ‘Totori’ singer recalled one morning when he was prepared and eager to end it but gave it a second thought after reflecting on their shared history with his partner.
Cabasa recalled how she had helped him while he was still a university student. He then realized that she was a diamond that he shouldn’t discard.
Despite his wife’s shortcomings, the 48-year-old music producer continued, that he is ready to work with her to help her become the ideal wife he wants. He was considering that she had given him justification to keep pressing.
He claimed to have realized that his wife was the nicest thing to ever happen to him and that she is the reason he is happy now.
He said; “A lot of times I wake up and I just want to leave, but in all of those curiosities and disbelief, I have enjoyed marriage.
Because I think I married a friend, and I married someone that even when the chips are down, I really don’t want to leave.
People will say they stayed because of children, but I stayed because of my wife”.
