‘I would have won 20 Grammy already’ – Davido discloses (Video)
Superstar Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, claimed in an earlier statement that he would have won 20 Grammy Awards.
In a Paris interview with Eye on Africa, Davido, the “Unavailable” crooner with over 13 years of experience in the music business, revealed this.
Davido will conclude his sold-out performance at Accor Arena, which has a 20,000 capacity, today, January 31, 2024. This follows his shutdown of London’s O2 arena on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
Davido stated he deserved to win the renowned accolade in advance of the 66th Grammy Awards, which will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4.
Take note that Davido has been nominated for three Grammy Awards in 2024. These nominees include “Timeless,” his most recent release, for Best Global Album.
He is also honored in the categories of Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel” and Best African Performance for his tune “Unavailable.”
Davido thanks the Grammy Awards for honoring him this time, saying that he and his group put a lot of effort into the Timeless record.
He said; ” We worked really hard on this album. If you ask me if I deserve Grammys in the past, I need 20 Grammy already…God’s timing is the best.”
