Seun Kuti reveals he won’t leave my wife if she cheats
Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Seun Kuti, has openly stated that he wouldn’t leave his wife, Yetunde Kuti, if she were to cheat on him.
This revelation came during a recent appearance by the couple as special guests on the Valentine edition of TVC’s entertainment and lifestyle programme, ‘Your View.’
Seun’s assertion was supported by his wife, Yetunde, who expressed her unwavering commitment to their marriage, stating that even if he were unfaithful, she would never consider divorce.
Yetunde said, “There is nothing my husband is going to do that would make me leave him. Even if he cheats on me I won’t leave him. I am not going to leave my husband because he cheated on me. Nah, that can’t happen.”
Seun inferred: “We don’t believe in cheating. What is cheating? Love is not ownership.”
The anchor asked Seun; “Would you leave her [your wife] if she cheats on you,” to which he replied; “No. What has that got to do with anything?”
The couple’s stance on infidelity reflects their belief that such transgressions should not necessarily be grounds for ending a marriage, emphasizing a deeper commitment to their relationship beyond traditional boundaries.
