Lil Frosh claims he regrets having a girlfriend
In light of the domestic violence incident involving his ex-partner Gift Camile, better known as Cute Gemini, Nigerian rapper Sanni Goriola, commonly referred to as Lil Frosh, has expressed regret about having a girlfriend.
After Gift claimed that Lil Frosh assaulted her in 2020, Davido, the previous head of his label, ended Gift’s contract with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Even though Frosh and the model reached an out-of-court settlement, the singer no longer received invitations to concerts or recording deals, and Davido never asked him to reconsider his choice.
During an interview on Clout Africa, Lil Frosh recalled the turmoil that resulted with Cute Gemini and insisted on his innocence.
He acknowledged that his ex-girlfriend’s “false allegations” had caused serious damage to his music career, from which he has not yet fully recovered.
Lil Frosh revealed that since Davido unexpectedly ended his contract because of his ex-girlfriend’s accusations, his career has suffered.
He said; “My ex-girlfriend’s claims that she got beaten by me is a false accusation, I won’t lie to you. I know nothing about it. And immediately she posted it online, I got kicked out of DMW.
“I left the record label on the 6th of October, 2020, and since then I have been independent. I want my fans to know that I am not capable of assault. I am a cool guy. The way some people are judgemental about things they see online is alarming.
“If I had the opportunity to go back in time and change some things, I swear, I won’t have a girlfriend. I regret having a girlfriend.”
