Ruger expresses regret for body-shaming BNXN.
Nigerian artist Michael Adebayo Olayinka, widely recognized as Ruger, has openly expressed regret for body-shaming his colleague, BNXN, formerly known as Buju.
Recalling their social media feud in 2022, during which Ruger made derogatory remarks about BNXN’s appearance, the incident was brought to light by Mp3bullet.
However, appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Bahd and Boujee Podcast, co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, Ruger admitted to regretting his actions.
“I feel bad that I body shamed BNXN (Buju), I regret it,” he said.

Ruger and BNXN have reconciled their differences following Ruger’s departure from his former record label, D’Prince’s Jonzing World, and the establishment of his own imprint, Blown Boy Entertainment.
Their newfound camaraderie was evidenced by their recent collaboration on a song titled “Romeo Must Die.”
In a video excerpt of the interview circulating online as of Saturday, March 16, 2024, the “Bounce” artist expressed his inclination towards dating individuals who are employed, emphasizing his reluctance to be involved with someone who is not actively working.
Ruger elaborated on his fondness for embarking on trips with his significant other, recounting a previous month-long tour they embarked on together. When questioned why the tour wasn’t extended to the full six months, Ruger attributed it to his girlfriend’s employment commitments, stating that she couldn’t afford to take such an extended leave from work.
Throughout the discussion, Ruger chose to abstain from divulging details regarding his financial standing.
Ruger’s remarks on relationships and employment have spurred conversations among fans, with some echoing his sentiments while others offering differing viewpoints. His words have ignited discussions on the dynamics of love, the significance of work, and the essential aspects of relationships.
