Offset Breaks Silence on Saweetie Rumours and Opens Up About His Split from Cardi B

American rapper Kiari Cephus, better known by his stage name Offset, has finally spoken out about months of swirling rumours linking him to fellow rapper Saweetie, while also sharing rare insight into his failed marriage with Cardi B.
In a heartfelt conversation with actress and singer Keke Palmer, the former Migos member set the record straight, dismissing the allegations as nothing more than wild internet chatter.
“That whole Saweetie thing was just weird,” he said, describing the rumours as “strange and unnecessary.”
According to Offset, the speculation took on a life of its own, fuelled by gossip blogs and social media narratives that had no basis in truth.
But beyond clearing the air, the rapper also took a moment to reflect on more personal matters, particularly his separation from Grammy-winning superstar Cardi B.
“I messed up, and it cost me my marriage,” he confessed, admitting that his infidelity and poor decisions were central to the breakdown of their nearly seven-year union.
Despite the public fallout, Offset spoke of Cardi with deep respect, affectionately referring to her as “bro,” and revealed that while their divorce is still pending, there’s no bad blood between them.
The rapper also touched on the darker side of fame, speaking candidly about the emotional toll of losing his cousin and Migos bandmate, Takeoff.
Offset revealed that the grief once pushed him into a cycle of addiction, relying heavily on codeine as a coping mechanism. However, through therapy and faith, he said he’s gradually finding his balance again.
“I’m focused on becoming a better man now,” he shared, reflecting on his growth through pain, loss, and the lessons that come with global fame.
