Nigerian superstar Wizkid has openly shared his sorrow regarding the passing of his mother, expressing that he has been grappling with a sense of loss and has struggled to rediscover himself since her death.

In a recent Instagram post, the afrobeat sensation lamented the profound impact of his mother’s demise, revealing that he feels adrift and unable to reconnect with his former self. Describing his emotional state, Wizkid articulated that all he experiences is overwhelming and costly pain.

He wrote, “Look in the mirror; don’t feel myself! Mama left me and I lost myself! I can’t wait to feel myself again! Life of a soldier! military with it!” This resulted in different reactions from fans who were concerned about his state of health after his mother’s death.

Then, Wizkid issues a strong warning to anyone who thinks now would be a good moment to bother him.

He wrote, “Until then, I dey give slap away for free so leave me”. This statement in standard English translates to “Until then, I will be giving slaps for free so leave me alone”. It is a stern warning to anyone who will want to stress him out or pester him.
