Omah Lay refuses to pick a girl at his concert, says he wants no trouble
Omah Lay found himself in a lighthearted moment during a recent performance in Berlin, where he tactfully avoided potential trouble. While onstage, the singer playfully declined to bring a lady from the audience to join him, instead opting for a humorous interaction with a male fan.
In a viral video capturing the scene, Omah Lay can be seen scanning the crowd, searching for a dance partner for his hit song “Bend You.” “I want to pick a girl from the crowd,” he announced.
Upon spotting a concertgoer, he quipped, “Are you with your boyfriend? I don’t want trouble,” eliciting cheers from the audience.
“Maybe I should pick a boy instead,” he joked, chuckling. He then proceeded to select another lady from the crowd to join him onstage for the dance.

Omah Lay’s comment at his recent performance in Berlin may have been influenced by the significant controversy surrounding his London concert in February 2024. During that event, a female fan who joined him onstage became embroiled in controversy after reportedly leaving her boyfriend’s side to dance with the singer.
Following widespread criticism on social media, the fan, Jessiani, addressed the situation to dispel what she described as misconceptions about her involvement.
Contrary to public perception, Jessiani clarified that her boyfriend actually encouraged her to go onstage after Omah Lay called her. Additionally, she emphasized that she was the one who purchased the tickets for both herself and her partner, debunking the notion that she was solely attending as a guest of her boyfriend.
