Nigerian Rapper, M.I Abaga has said that he was close to signing vocalist Oxlade shortly after signing Blaqbonez.
On Friday, June 11th, 2021, M.I Abaga was a guest on Beat FM’s Midday Show. The rapper revealed that he almost signed Oxlade when he told the journalist more about his friendship with him.
He revealed that it happened shortly after he signed Blaqbonez, a close friend of the artist.

He said;
“I signed Blaqbonez in 2016 or 17. As soon as he came, he said Yo, Oxlade. I think we had a meeting. On the way to the meeting, I saw Bizzle post “The Plug with Ox”.
You know industry, there’s mutual respect and guidelines. I just said ah! Another one bites the dust. He’s just so good and it’s been amazing to see him grow and blossom.”
M.I Abaga recently collaborated with Oxlade on the tune “All My Life,” which received positive feedback. Oxlade had previously appeared on “Kolo” with Ice Prince, M.I‘s good buddy and former label partner.
