Popular Nigerian music star Wizkid has sustained his online war of words with Seun Kuti, extending the heated exchange across his social media pages.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Grammy-winning singer took to social media to respond yet again to Seun Kuti, who has, in recent times, made a habit of publicly attacking Wizkid FC, the singer’s fan base.
Seun Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has repeatedly dismissed Wizkid FC as the “most ignorant fan base in the world.”
He has also mocked the group for hailing Wizkid as the “New Fela,” arguing that his father’s legacy remains unmatched.
According to Seun, Fela achieved so much in his lifetime that he still earns from his work years after his death—something he claims the fathers of Wizkid’s fans cannot relate to.
Wizkid, however, has shown little interest in backing down. In an earlier outburst reported by MP3Bullet, the singer openly dragged Seun Kuti, insisting that he has surpassed Fela Kuti’s legacy.
He also described Seun as “a fool at 40” and a “pussyboy,” further fueling the controversy.
The situation escalated as Wizkid expressed frustration over Seun Kuti’s frequent Instagram Live sessions, where he allegedly trolls Wizkid FC.
In his response, Wizkid went as far as coining a new label for Seun Kuti and dragging his wife, Yetunde Kuti, into the dispute.
In one of his Instagram posts, Wizkid directly tagged Seun Kuti and wrote:
“@bigbirdkuti, I’m bigwiz everyday, bigger than your papa!! wetin u wan do fool.”
He followed it up bluntly with:
“Hungry bastard.”

Not stopping there, Wizkid also carried the feud to X, where he took a swipe at Seun Kuti’s wife, making remarks about her appearance. In a controversial tweet, the singer wrote:
“Everyday Wizkid! I fuck ur ugly wife ? Wetin!”
The ongoing back-and-forth has continued to stir reactions online, with fans and critics weighing in on the growing tension between the two public figures. As of the time of this report, Seun Kuti has yet to issue a fresh response to Wizkid’s latest comments.
