This is how Tiwa Savage tops the 2021 most googled artistes in Nigeria
Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer, and Obi Cubana, a popular businessman, topped Google’s list of the most trending people in Nigeria in 2021.
In a statement released by Google said, “Google releases Nigeria’s 2021 Year in Search lists.”

Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian pop singer, rose to fame after breaking into the music industry in the United Kingdom and the United States. The “Queen of Afrobeats,” as she’s been dubbed.
Savage was born in Lagos and relocated to the United Kingdom for education when she was 11 years old. She began singing backup onstage for acts like George Michael, Sting, and Mary J. Blige when she was a teenager.
Tiwa Savage travelled to Boston to attend the famed Berklee College of Music after competing in the third season of The X Factor in the United Kingdom. In 2006, she earned a professional music diploma.
In 2009, Savage got a publishing agreement with Sony and began creating songs for Babyface, Kat Deluna, and Fantasia.

She returned to Nigeria in 2011 to co-host Nigerian Idol and record her debut album, Once Upon a Time, on the Lagos label Mavin Records, inspired by the rise of Afrobeats music.
Tiwa Savage became the first Nigerian to sign a management and publishing agreement with JAY-Roc Z’s Nation after releasing his second album, R.E.D., in 2015.
Tiwa Savage’s third album, 2020’s Celia, helped her reach a broader audience.
The 13-track collection debuted in the Top 20 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and quickly rose through the ranks of streaming platforms around the world.

However, the top ten Google search queries in many categories, such as top trending searches, top trending individuals, top trending musicians, and top 2021 loss, were featured in the search lists.
In both the most searched artiste and trending people lists, Tiwa Savage was at the top. The singer was a hot topic in October after she was implicated in a sex video scandal.
