This is how Rema, Tems & Burna Boy are holding it down internationally in 2022.
The Afrobeats contingent of Rema and Burna Boy maintains its strong showing on the list in the most recent edition of the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
Rema’s “Calm Down” is the top Afrobeats entry for the chart week of October 14 through October 20, 2022, rising four spots from Number 21 the previous week to reach a new peak of Number 17. As a result of the Selena Gomez remix, it has now been on the list for seven weeks.
The song by Burna Boy, “For Your Hand,” came in the right behind “Calm Down” and also hit a new top of Number 18, moving up one spot from its previous week’s position of Number 19 to extend its chart run to 14 weeks.
The chart run of Burna Boy’s “Last Last,” which was at Number 32 last week and is now at Number 26 this week, has now lasted 22 weeks.
As it enters its thirteenth week on the list, Oxlade’s “Kulosa” has fallen precipitously from Number 26 last week to 66 this week.
This week’s “Propeller” by JAE5 feat. Dave & BNXN is now ranked first. It is followed by Asake’s “Terminator” and “Joha,” which are in second and third place, respectively. The final song in the Top 5 was “Its Plenty” by Burna Boy and “Rush” by Ayra Starr.
Victony & Tempoe’s “Soweto” debuts at Number 7, while Wizkid’s “Back To Me” climbs back to Number 6 on the chart.
