Joeboy came to the limelight after the release of a viral hit single titled ‘Baby’ one of the biggest breakout songs of 2019, becoming the top song across various streaming platforms based on most played.
Five months later he strikes again with a Killertunes-produced track titled ‘Begining’ an obvious hit song that gained massive airplay, a typical back-to-back, cementing his name on the long lists of grounded acts.

fast forward to three months later, Joeboy released a 5 track EP titled ‘Love & Light’ supported by the previously released singles “Baby” and “Beginning” as the lead singles, the EP also has Mayorkun assisted track titled ‘Don’t Call Me
The EP marked the beginning of a new era for him, winning Best Artiste in African Pop at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards, and Best Pop at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival with other multiple nominations in headies awards and City People Entertainment Awards.
In 2020, Joeboy started working on a debut album, releasing two singles titled ‘Call’ and ‘Lonely’ a melodious tune, he was practically involved in more collaborations in the span of the album process.

Nigerian disk jockey DJ Neptune teamed up with him and Mr Eazi for a song titled ‘Nobody’ a catchy tune that went on to be one of the biggest songs of 2020, winning Song of the Year and Best Pop Single at the 14th Headies Award 2021.
However, on 4 February 2021, Joeboy released his debut album titled ‘Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic’ (SBBM), a 14-track project without features…quite commendable.

Joeboy, was excited after his label boss, Mr Eazi, and colleague Tiwa Savage, surprised him at his first headline show in New York City.
