Why Honeyboy Vibes Matters
At just 19 minutes and 33 seconds, the EP is concise yet impactful. It embodies the modern Afrobeat spirit, vibrant, heartfelt, and globally appealing, while staying true to Honeyboy’s Nigerian roots.
More than just songs, this EP is a personal diary turned into music, reflecting the hustle, the faith, and the love that have shaped Honeyboy’s life. It is also a declaration of his readiness to step fully into the industry spotlight.
The EP opens with Wamiwale, a track that immediately sets the tone with romantic energy. Honeyboy steps confidently into the role of a lover boy, delivering smooth lines that linger long after the song ends:
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Omoge wa mi wa le, Baby pe mi loruko, Honeyboy.”
It’s playful, catchy, and heartwarming, a clear highlight that positions him as a new voice in Afrobeat romance.
In the second track, Owo Oluwa, Honeyboy shifts gears to a deeper, more spiritual reflection. With lyrics like:
“Me I no dey stress again, I do my best and leave the rest, everything me I leave am to God.”
He delivers a powerful message about surrender, resilience, and trusting divine timing. The song resonates as an anthem of hope, appealing to anyone navigating life’s struggles.
With Your Body, Honeyboy returns to themes of love, but this time wrapped in irresistible rhythm. His playful declaration, “Girl you are my honey, I sey for this body I no go don you cunny,” cements the track as a danceable, feel-good tune that blends Afrobeats charm with lighthearted affection.
Uwem Adiyene translates to “Life is Wealth,” and it underscores Honeyboy’s perspective on gratitude and valuing existence above material gains. It’s thoughtful yet melodic, striking a balance between deep messages and catchy flows.
While If – Speed Up delivers energy and tempo, Far Away feels reflective, exploring distance, longing, and emotional depth. Together, they highlight his ability to navigate both upbeat Afro-fusion and introspective sounds.
Closing the EP, Business – 2025 is bold and forward-looking. It shows Honeyboy’s ambition to stake his claim in the industry, tying the project together with confidence and vision.
