Headies Calls For Submission For Its 2023 Edition.
The famous award ceremony Headies in Nigeria has released a call for entries for its 2023 edition. Entries have begun for the 16th edition of the renowned Nigerian Award.
The Headies is a music awards program established in 2006 by the Nigerian Hip Hop World Magazine to honour exceptional accomplishments in the country’s music sector. Established and up-and-coming performers perform during the yearly celebration.
It has helped Nigerian musicians like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and many more become well-known worldwide over time.
On May 22, 2023, The Headies invited qualified parties to submit works that could be given consideration for the coveted prize. Only songs published during the 16th edition’s year-in-review period, which runs from January 2022 to March 2023, will be eligible for nominations.
The Headies also announced that the submission window’s closing date is Friday, June 16, 2023.

Recall, Davido, has generated outrage on social media after choosing Odumodublvck over Asake as his Headies’ Next Rated Choice.
Odumodublvck, who went viral after his song ‘Declan Rice‘ reached number one on Apple Music a few weeks ago, received encouragement from music icon Davido, who told him on FaceTime that he had won the Next Rated award.
In a video that circulated on Twitter, Odumodublvck and Davido were on FaceTime, and The DMW boss assured him that he would win the Headies’ annual Next Rated award.
‘You see that Next Rated, na you go collect am’, those were the words from Davido to Odumodublvck.
