According to reports in France, Chelsea were so intent on signing Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a British record fee that they unintentionally transmitted the wrong paperwork to PSG three times, preventing the Ligue 1 giants from completing the necessary procedures.
PSG and Chelsea filed an appeal with the French football authority, but it was rejected on Wednesday morning.
Throughout the entire January transfer window, Ziyech had a lot of other suitors, including Newcastle United, Everton, and Milan. Long-time rival Ajax have been mentioned in connection with a reunion.
He will, however, now stay at Chelsea at least through the summer.
