Ghanaian Afrobeat/afro-fusion singer Jackline Acheampong, known professionally as Gyakie, has shed light on the rumours circulating on social media about her secret relationship with Nigerian singer Omah Lay.
After Gyakie recruited the talented Nigerian artist for her “Forever” remix, some fans assumed the two were lovers who had kept their relationship private for reasons best known to them.

In reaction to these rumours, Gyakie, in an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, debunked the social media speculation about her alleged attraction and amorous relationship with Omay Lay.
According to her, the chemistry between her and the Nigerian singer when they are on stage is just for the act and to thrill the audience but there is absolutely nothing intimate going on between them.
“We only do that for the cameras,” she revealed.

When asked if Omah Lay over steps with the display of affection, she said the touches are minimal.
“It’s just a little bit,” she said.
