Sensational Ghanaian musician, Jackline Acheampong, known professionally as Gyakie, has recounted how she was lambasted by a social media user after her most popular song rose to prominence in the country and beyond.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo segment with Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, Gyakie admitted that some of the shades thrown at her by her critics on social media sometimes get to her.

She recalled how a social media user once warned her not to release another song after her “Forever” song became popular on almost every platform.

The Ghanaian fast-rising singer revealed that the critic told her that she was only a one-time hitmaker and that she should have lower expectations when recording another song.

Gyakie said that she was told by the critic than any other song she drops after “Forever” will not become a hit song she was pained by that comment.
