Gunna, Victony join Asake on stage for electrifying performances at LA concert
American rapper Gunna and Nigerian star Victony made special guest appearances at Asake’s sold-out “Lungu Boy” concert at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, on August 27, 2024.
The duo’s surprise performances were a highlight of the evening, thrilling the audience with electrifying collaborations.
Asake, known for his grand stage entries, did not disappoint as he made a dramatic entrance sitting atop a customized sports car, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
He treated fans to a live performance of his hit singles, including tracks from his recently released third album, “Lungu Boy.”
Gunna joined Asake on stage to perform their collaboration “Happiness,” which also features producer Sarz, while Victony joined in for a rendition of their joint track “Stubborn.”

The California concert is part of Asake’s “Lungu Boy” tour, which includes stops in six major U.S. cities, with headlining performances at iconic venues such as the Toyota Center in Houston, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and Madison Square Garden in New York.

The tour follows the successful release of his third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” which features collaborations with stars like Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Ludmilla.
Asake’s “Lungu Boy” album has been breaking records since its release. It set a new benchmark for the biggest opening week on Spotify Nigeria, amassing 18.9 million streams, surpassing Davido’s previous record of 14.4 million streams with “Timeless.”
The album also achieved the biggest opening day global streams for a Nigerian album on Spotify, with 9.2 million streams.
Additionally, the album’s second track, “MMS,” set a new record on Spotify Nigeria with 870,577 streams on its first day of release, surpassing Wizkid’s previous record of 626,000 streams for “IDK” featuring Zlatan. Asake’s “Lungu Boy” continues to dominate, solidifying his place among Nigeria’s top musical talents.
