Gundogan reveals one player who could be the future Ballon d’Or contender.
The German professional footballer Ilkay Gundogan has revealed the player who has the qualities necessary to be the future Ballon d’Or contender.
Man City captain Gundogan believes Etihad teammate Erling Haaland possesses all of the traits required to be considered a possible future Ballon d’Or winner.
Haaland, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, is only 22 years old, but he has already made a name for himself as one of the most exciting and gifted strikers in all of football.
Haaland has had a rather fantastic start to life at City after arriving at the Etihad with a resume that was already impressive, having played for Molde in his home Norway before moving on to RB Salzburg and Dortmund.

In his first two months with the team, he has already scored 20 goals and set numerous records, including scoring hat-tricks in three straight Premier League games at the Etihad.
At this week’s Ballon d’Or event in Paris, Karim Benzema won the award and Kevin De Bruyne came in third, placing Haaland 10th overall in the rankings for 2022.
Gundogan believes that Haaland will only get better because of the hunger and passion that drive his approach to the game, which increases the likelihood that he will one day win the coveted Ballon d’Or. Gundogan said:
