Grealish reveals what the goalkeeper for Copenhagen told him about Haaland.
The English professional footballer Jack Grealish claimed that he and FC Copenhagen’s goalkeeper both experienced a moment of shock following another Erling Haaland goal for Manchester City.
City had a newfound hunger for goals three days after humiliating Manchester United by scoring six goals, and of course, Haaland was at the centre of the action.
The 22-year-old grabbed a first-half brace as City eased into a 3-0 lead by halftime, before Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez scored in the second half to complete a 5-0 win.
Haaland has now scored 19 goals in his first 12 games for City across all competitions, a staggering total unmatched in the modern game. Haaland’s goals continue to leave both City supporters and analysts in awe, and the striker is beginning to have the same impact on his teammates.
Grealish, who was named Player of the Match for his performance on the left wing and spoke to BT Sport after the game, acknowledged that what his teammate is doing is truly remarkable.

He said:
“It’s unbelievable, I have never witnessed anything like it in my life,”
“For the first or second goal, I was just laughing because he is always there and is always finishing it. He is a pleasure to play with. When I was walking back after one of his goals their ‘keeper said something to me and I said what?
“He said, ‘this guy is not human’, and I said ‘yeah, you’re telling me!’ He is unbelievable and is a pleasure to be around, he is so humble and that isn’t just me bigging him up, that is the God’s honest truth and hopefully he can carry on this form and carry us to glory.”
Grealish can consider himself unlucky not to have scored himself. The English attacker attempted six shots in total, three of which Kamil Grabara, the in-form goalkeeper for Copenhagen, saved.
He was content with his performance, though, and he acknowledged that he is beginning to feel optimistic about his form for Pep Guardiola’s team once more. In his word:
“I am loving it at the moment. My last three or four games I have loved it and feel back to myself and playing with that freedom and confidence and it would probably help if I got on the scoresheet tonight, I was desperate in that second half but it is all about enjoying it and winning and we are doing that at the moment.
“Do you know what, when the luck just isn’t with you? I am going through one of those patches at the moment, but like I said, I am enjoying it at the moment and playing a lot of games recently and thankful to the manager for that. I am happy that I am playing football with a smile on my face and I am settling in well here and playing with confidence.”
