The event, which took place today, Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Las Vegas, saw Pakistani artist Arooj Aftab beat Wizkid and others in the Best Global Music Performance category.

Femi Kuti (“Pà Pá Pà”), Wizkid feat Tems (“Essence”), Angélique Kidjo feat Burna Boy (“Do Yourself”), and Yo-Yo Ma and Angélique Kidjo (“Blewu”) were among the other nominees in the category.

In the second category, multiple Grammy-award winning Beninese singer, composer, and performer Angelique Kidjo won the Best World Music Album category.

I still can’t believe after Essence made so much waves, Wizkid was robbed off his Grammy title. Now I truly understand why Kanye West pee on the damn Grammy plaque. Essence is the song of the year, Wizkid FC for life.

All of a sudden, you people have realized you don't need the Grammys? Nigerians are not yet serious. You were undermining a fellow country man's achievement at the world cup by saying he sang with upcoming, now who the hell is that lady that just won best global song????
