Graham Potter reveals excitement towards Mykhailo Mudryk signing.
Graham Potter described Chelsea’s signing of Mykhailo Mudryk as “fantastic” following the Blues’ much-needed victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Mudryk was largely anticipated to join Arsenal during the January transfer window, with the Gunners in talks about a move since December, but Chelsea swooped in over the weekend to secure a €100 million deal for the Ukraine sensation.

Speaking to the press following the Blues’ win over Palace at Stamford Bridge – a win Mudryk was in attendance for – Potter said: “He is a young player with exciting quality in the final third. He is very fast and direct and I think the crowd will like him.”
Chelsea needed the win at Stamford Bridge after losing to Fulham and Manchester City since the new year, dropping the team to mid-table in the Premier League.
Speaking about the win, Potter added: “Today we are happy for the three points. Overall we played quite well, they had their moments as well but today was about getting the victory – park it as three valuable points against a team that was pushing as well.
“We try to play well and I thought at times we did, you have to understand the context of the situation we are in so it isn’t going to be sensational football all the time. The boys have worked hard.”
