Ghanaian heavyweight rapper, Medikal is said to have been arrested for allegedly flaunting a gun on social media.
Samuel Adu Frimpong, also known as Medikal, was reportedly arrested for allegedly displaying a weapon on social media.
According to reports, the hip-hop singer was with his wife, Fella Makafui, at the Accra Regional Police Command charge office after being taken into custody by the police.
On September 26, 2021, the rapper received some social media attention after a video appeared online showing him displaying a pistol that he had recently bought.
According to reports, he has been summoned to the Accra Regional Police Command’s offices for that crime.
This comes just hours after Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall rapper, and members of his entourage were detained in connection with a fake gun attack saga.

The Accra Circuit Court, on Thursday, remanded dancehall musician, Shatta Wale for one week in police custody.
The controversial singer has pleaded not guilty to a charge of fake news reporting.
The artiste brought himself in on October 19 after the police had issued a warrant for his arrest.
He claimed to have been shot and was receiving treatment, but this turned out to be a fake.
Two of his accomplices were charged with aiding and abetting criminal activity.
