Future set to mark his illustrious career with a special release—a limited-edition vinyl collection.
On September 15, 2023, American award-winning rapper Future made an exciting announcement regarding a new limited-edition vinyl collection, intended to celebrate his remarkable journey to dominance in the music industry. This collection will comprise nine distinct vinyl records, released in sets of three over three consecutive weekends.
The first drop is scheduled for October 20 and includes “Pluto,” “DS2,” and “Super Slimey.” The second drop follows closely on October 27 and features a selection of essential mixtapes: “Monster,” “Beast Mode,” and “56 Nights.” Finally, the third and last drop arrives on November 3, presenting “Purple Reign,” “Future,” and “Hndrxx.”
Future has earned his place as one of the top-selling rap artists of the 21st century, thanks to his genre-blending melodic trap style.
His extensive discography boasts nearly 100 million total units sold. The emcee behind “Thought It Was A Drought” has collaborated with a roster of A-list creatives, including Madonna, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, Drake, JAY-Z, Lil Durk, and many more.
The overarching aim of this comprehensive vinyl collection is to chronicle Future’s journey to attaining hip-hop royalty status. Notably, Future has been spotted performing alongside his frequent collaborator, Metro Boomin. The dynamic producer-rapper duo has also recently revealed that they are in the final stages of completing a new album.
Following Metro’s dynamic set at Coachella, he mentioned, “After a 10+ year journey, it was surreal to perform [at] Coachella in front of 20K+ with my brother Future.” He then told fans that a “Metro Pluto album” was coming.
