Legendary rapper/producer duo Future and Metro Boomin have officially announced their highly anticipated first commercial full-length collaborative album, titled “We Don’t Trust You,” set to be released on March 22. This project has generated significant excitement among fans due to the duo’s remarkable track record of collaborative hits.

Not content with just one release, the Diamond-certified hitmakers have taken things a step further by revealing a second LP, scheduled for release on April 12.

In a cinematic trailer, the dynamic Atlanta-based duo is depicted meeting in a desert setting, accompanied by two all-white Rolls Royce trucks, symbolizing their dominance in the rap game. This bold move has only heightened anticipation for what promises to be an epic musical journey from Future and Metro Boomin.

The bond between Future and Metro Boomin traces back to when the latter was just 17, crafting beats for various artists in Atlanta. Over the years, their collaborative efforts have produced numerous unforgettable tracks, serving as the sonic backdrop for some of the most thrilling moments in hip-hop over the past decade.

Their most recent collaboration occurred on Metro’s 2022 album, “Heroes & Villains,” a standout LP that showcased Metro’s creativity and innate theatrical flair. Tracks like “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” and “Too Many Nights” featuring Don Toliver allowed them to once again demonstrate their undeniable star power.

Fans expressed their emotions on social media, with one commenting, “I’m holding back tears right now,” while another shared, “[I] used to pray for times like this.”

Additionally, Metro Boomin took to Twitter to explain that his wearing a bandana was a tribute to the late rap star Prodigy, stating, “We don’t trust you n**gas. Long live Prodigy, the bandana is back!” This acknowledgement further solidifies their deep-rooted connection to hip-hop culture and its icons.

Future and Metro Boomin’s ongoing collaborations are a testament to a musical legacy that began with the electrifying 2013 single “Karate Chop,” marking the inception of one of the most dynamic hip-hop duos of the 2010s. Their synergy only grew stronger with subsequent tracks like 2015’s “Jumpman” featuring Drake and 2017’s “Mask Off,” both of which have achieved an impressive 14-times Platinum certification from the RIAA.

Their partnership extends beyond just creating music together. Metro Boomin even transformed a memorable Future bar into his unmistakable producer tag: “If Young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gon’ shoot you.” This iconic tag has become synonymous with their collaborative work and further solidifies their status as pioneers in modern hip-hop.
