Burna Boy and Tems win big at the 2023 BET Awards: Full winners list revealed.
Nigerian artists Burna Boy and Tems bagged awards for Africa at the 2023 BET Awards, the full list of winners in the key categories has been confirmed, with notable acts including Beyonce, Ice Spice, Kendrick, Wizkid, Tems, Burna Boy, and many others all receiving nominations for the BET Awards 2023.
The 2023 BET Awards were the subject of unprecedented excitement thanks to the nominations of some of the biggest personalities in the music industry.
The BET Awards were held on June 26, 2023, and this edition honoured 50 years of hip-hop with notable appearances from rap greats like KRS1, Big Daddy, Fat Joe and Davido delivered an electrifying performance at the event.
Powerhouses like Beyoncé, Ice Spice, Kendrick Lamar, Wizkid, Tems, Burna Boy, and many others were on the star-studded list of nominees, competing for the coveted honours in their respective categories. The whole list of winners in the important categories has now been confirmed, thus the wait is finally over.
The Afrofusion superstar Burna Boy won the prestigious award for Best International Act. Burna Boy has been and will continue to be a global ambassador for African music thanks to his distinctive approach, which easily fuses genres, and his ability to enthral audiences with his distinctive sound.
Tems was also honoured for her contribution to the Grammy-winning song Wait For U with Future and Drake in the Best Collaboration category.
The winners of the 2023 BET Awards have unquestionably cemented their status as role models and innovators in their corresponding industries.
