Emile Smith Rowe: Fulham agree club record transfer deal in principle with Arsenal
Fulham is on the verge of completing a club-record deal for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, with an initial fee of £27m and potential add-ons totaling £34m.
While final details are being ironed out between the clubs, personal terms have been agreed in principle, paving the way for Smith Rowe to undergo a medical this week.
The 24-year-old’s playing time was limited last season due to a knee injury that kept him sidelined for six weeks in October, resulting in just three Premier League starts and 346 minutes of play.
Smith Rowe has already made his mark on the international stage, earning three senior England caps, with his last appearance in March 2022. He was also part of the triumphant UEFA European Under-21 Championship squad last summer.
Fulham departs for a pre-season training camp in Portugal on Tuesday, and it is expected that Smith Rowe will join his new teammates at some point during the camp, pending a successful medical.
