Frank Edoho blasts troll who body-shamed Ayra Starr
Frank Edoho, a Nigerian TV show host, has defended popular singer Ayra Starr after she faced backlash for allegedly “disrespecting” King Sunny Ade, a veteran of Fuji/Highlife.
Ayra, born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, was said to have apologized on Saturday for not giving King Ade a courteous greeting at the Afrozons pre-Grammy celebration in Lagos state.
She was seen in a viral video right before she took the stage, paying her respects to a few VIPs and shaking hands with the iconic singer rather than kneeling as many had predicted.
The Mavin Princess chose to apologize via Twitter after receiving a barrage of indignant messages and comments from followers, explaining that she had misread King Sunny Ade’s face.
Not satisfied with the explanation, a young man named Alfred Marshh said he could never date a person with the songstress’ kind of physical attributes and that she is overrated.
“Ayra Starr is overrated, Who she think say she be, Flat nyash, Provoking breast. I can never ever date such human being,” he tweeted.
Edoho reprimanded him for bodyshaming the singer in return, and then insulted Alfred by saying he would complain if someone did the same to him.
He wrote; “You insulted her over nothing. If someone told you that your nose looks like the muzzle of a double barrel shotgun, you will start complaining.”
