No New York: Zinhle to return to SA after losing passport in Dubai.
According to DJ Zinhle, who lost her passport in Dubai and was unable to travel to New York, she is now on her way back to Johannesburg.
In order to celebrate her daughter Kairo Forbes’ birthday, South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, also known as DJ Zinhle, was scheduled to fly to New York. However, she discovered she had misplaced her passport while at the Dubai International Airport and had to return to Johannesburg, as she revealed in an Instagram Live video on Monday, June 26.
Zinhle has had a difficult evening and morning. She was due to take a flight to New York to celebrate her daughter Kairo Forbes’ birthday there. AKA, also known as Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was shot dead alongside his buddy Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane outside of Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on February 10. The DJ and AKA had a child named Kairo.
Therefore, DJ Zinhle was scheduled to travel with Kairo and AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes from Johannesburg to Dubai in order to connect to a trip to New York. She discovered she had misplaced her passport when at Dubai International Airport.
DJ Zinhle said during an Instagram Live session that she had to catch a flight back to Johannesburg. She didn’t have her passport or US visa, which is why that happened. In the meantime, Kairo and Lynn are traveling to New York without their belongings.
Kairo and Lynn had to fly without their baggage since the DJ claimed that the bags were in her name. She maintained her composure, saying she was glad to be going back to be with her other daughter Asante Mohosana and “husband” Murdah Bongz.
“As soon as I lost my passport I knew I wasn’t going to New York, which I am okay with now,” she said during the Instagram Live video which ended as she needed to board her flight back home.
As seen in the DJ’s Instagram Story in May, Kairo previously disclosed that she wishes to visit New York for her ninth birthday. In other words, this will be Kairo’s first birthday without her dad.
“Kairo’s birthday trip to New York is going to be expensive. Send coins!!!” she wrote.
“My sweet girl has decided she wants to travel every year for her birthday as if there’s a birthday allowance that just drops from heaven,” she wrote.
