It seems fans have Olamide to thank for being able to hear “Peru” as Fireboy DML revealed in an interview that he had no intention of dropping the song so soon.
Fireboy DML in an interview has stated that his label boss, Olamide, leaked his smash song ‘Peru.’
Fireboy admitted in the interview that he had recorded the song but had no plans to release it so soon.
According to him, he was in the studio one afternoon when Olamide contacted and asked if he would leak the song.
In Fireboy’s words, he said:
“A couple of days after recording Peru, Baddo called me and was like ‘since you’re not ready to drop any single for your fans, we might as well just leak it’.
I was in the studio recording and I was like ‘do anything you want, it’s fine. I didn’t take him seriously and I woke up to the song on YouTube and here we are”
Recall that Mp3bullet.ng reported that Fireboy revealed that the song was originally done as a freestyle and hence has no thematic value.
In an interview with the British-Congolese comedian and show host Eddie Kadi, Fireboy said that the song “Peru” was not planned, but rather a freestyle which he composed in the studio after meeting Shizzi.
