Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DML, has finally received his Brit UK Gold certification after selling over 400,000 units of the remix of his hit song “Peru” that features Ed Sheeran.
Fireboy took to his Twitter page on the 20th of March 2022 to make the announcement of his latest achievement in the UK.
On Sunday, March 20, 2022, YBNL signee Fireboy DML achieved his Brit UK Gold Certification after selling over 400,000 sales of his song ‘Peru,’ the remix version of which features Grammy Award-winning musician Ed Sheeran.

The Afrofusion singer was confirmed to be certified gold in the UK by Brit on March 4, 2022, before he was officially awarded on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in the UK.
