Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Fireboy DML has asked his fans to suggest a suitable permanent name for his fan base.
Fanbase/stan culture is now becoming a thing in the music industry. Wizkid has the Wizkid FC, Davido has 30BG, Burna Boy has the Outsiders, now Fireboy whose popularity has seen a massive rise has his own fanbase.
In a now-deleted tweet, The singer turned to his fans to suggest a suitable name that can be used to describe his fan base.
“we need a permanent fanbase name. let’s get it right now.” He wrote

Fireboy is Signed to YBNL Nation, a record label founded and owned by popular Nigerian rapper Olamide, He broke into the Nigerian music scene in 2019 after dropping his hit song ‘Jealous’ which was initially added to his record label’s collaborative album ‘YBNL Mafia Family’ in 2018.
He dropped another hit song that year titled ‘What If I Say’ and in November 2019, dropped his debut album titled ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’. The album which did not feature any guest artist was streamed 6 million times on musical platform Spotify in just three days after its release. This cemented Fireboy’s name in the Nigerian music industry.
He released the track-list for his second studio album titled ‘Apollo’ in 2020 and it was a big success for him as his songs were included in the popular video game ‘FIFA 21’ soundtrack.
In 2021, he was the biggest winner in the year’s edition of the prestigious ‘The Headies’ awards of which he walked home with five solid awards.
