Fireboy DML shares official release date for his fourth studio album ‘Adedamola’
Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer Adedamola Adefolahan, better known as Fireboy DML, is gearing up to release his highly anticipated fourth studio album titled “Adedamola.”
He officially announced the album’s release date as August 29, 2024, through his social media accounts.
Following the footsteps of his label boss, Fireboy continues to deliver albums that resonate with fans. The announcement comes two years after his third album, “Playboy,” which featured hit singles like “Bandana” with Asake and “Playboy.”
Fireboy first gained significant attention after signing with Olamide’s YBNL and releasing his debut album “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps,” which many consider his best work to date. Since then, he has released two more successful albums, “APOLLO” and “Playboy.”
The YBNL/Empire artist has only released one single in 2024, titled “Everyday,” but is now set to follow up with his new album “Adedamola.” Recently, Fireboy confirmed the album’s title in a response to a fan on the social media platform X, staying true to his word.
The album, named after Fireboy’s first name, suggests a shift from the hedonistic themes of his previous album to more personal and introspective content.
According to the pre-save tracklist available on streaming platforms, “Adedamola” will include the lead singles “Yawa” and “Obaa Sima,” both released in 2023, as well as his latest single “Everyday.”
Fans are eagerly anticipating “Adedamola,” hoping it will reveal a more intimate side of the artist who captured hearts with the emotional lyrics and captivating melodies of his debut album.
Although the full tracklist hasn’t been released yet, there is speculation that it will feature both Nigerian and international artists, similar to his last album, which included collaborations with Asake, Rema, Chris Brown, and Shenseea.
