Fireboy DML & Rema Honored By America’s Music Certification Board, RIAA.
Nigerian Afrobeat superstars Fireboy DML and Rema have both been certified by America’s music certification board, called the RIAA, for their achievements in 2022.
Fireboy DML and Rema have received recognition and acclaim from the RIAA, America’s music certification body, for their accomplishments in 2022.
The musicians were listed in the RIAA class of 2022, a group of performers who 2022 were awarded their first gold or platinum certification in the US.
Rema received his first gold certification in the US with his hit song ‘Calm Down’ off his debut album ‘Rave & Roses.’ Fireboy DML also received his first gold certification in the US with his smashing worldwide hit ‘Peru.’

Only these two Nigerian musicians were selected for the 2022 class of the music certification organization.
Recall, The Mavin prince and YBNL star receive nominations from France’s largest awarding organization, NRJ, continuing their winning streaks at home and abroad.
The awarding society, formally known as Nouvelle Radio des Jeunes, is known as the highest in France and is presented by the French radio station NRJ to recognize the best in the French and international music industries.
Rema received three nominations from the society, including International Song of the Year for “Calm Down” and Best International Collaboration for his Selena Gomez-featuring Calm Down Remix.
Fireboy DML also got a nomination under the category of Best International Collaboration with Peru Remix with Ed Sheeran.
