Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML has revealed that American icon, Madonna is a fan of his and how he is adjusting to his newfound global fame.
The celebrated singer who just released his third studio album ‘Playboy,’ sat down with Zeze Millz to dish interesting details about life, career and so much more.
Fireboy DML noted that he exclaimed in excitement when he found out Madonna was a fan of his music. He shared that she has been a fan since 2019 and would normally use music off his album in her Instagram videos.
“Madonna was a fan of mine from 2019 when I released “LTG“. She sent me a DM earlier this year and asked me to collaborate with her on one of her classic hits.”
According to Fireboy DML, while he anticipated stardom on a worldwide scale, he never imagined it would be so intense.
According to him, he is now getting used to adjusting to international celebrity, despite the fact that he knows he will never be totally prepared for whatever awaits him in the future.
The “Peru” hitmaker is moving forward cautiously as a result.

“I expected it but I didn’t expect to experience the intricacies of it, like the details and everything inside.
“And I don’t think you can prepare yourself for what you are going to see outside when you are intentionally recognized,” Fireboy DML said.
“I went from just being known in Nigeria to being known in Africa and now, it’s a whole wide world thing.
“It’s only recent and I’m getting used to adjusting to it.
“And I know it’s going to get crazier in a couple of years and I won’t lie to myself and say Oh let me prepare myself for this. No.
“I know I’m never going to be ready for whatever it is I’m going to meet so I’m taking it one step at a time.”
Fireboy DML also shared his experience with writer’s block while working on his album and thought he had lost his “mojo.” He calls himself an “over thinker” and would love to enjoy himself and have fun after the release of his third studio album.
